When I first saw Erin it was difficult not to notice her gorgeous mane of red curly hair. I remember thinking to myself, I don’t know that woman, but I NEED to photograph her! And here we are. This beautiful mom to be (…again. This is her 3rd. I know right, it’s unfair that someone should look this amazing after having 2 other babies with a 3rd on the way!) Can I just mention that this mom to be is due on Christmas day. What a blessing that is! Now do the math. She is 3 and a half weeks away from giving birth! 3 1/2 weeks! I did not look this good when I was more than 8 months preggo! Life is just so unfair… 😉
During the time I spent with Erin doing her shoot we had a few hours to chat so I got to know her a little. I already knew she was sweet, easy-going and dedicated to whatever she does but I got to know a little about where she came from. She amazes me. She’s originally from Australia, so right there, her accent demands attention. I don’t always know what she’s saying because her lingo is different than ours but I usually get the drift of the conversation. I had to learn what nappies and thongs were (diapers and flip flops, yeah, not undies), learned about a town in New Zealand called Whakapapa where the “Wh” is pronounced like an “F”. You say it out loud and then giggle. I did. A lot! I learned that she has lived in Scotland, a place I need to visit before I die, so was a little jealous of that tidbit of info. She has a masters degree in psychology and is a certified personal trainer/pilates instructor. She shared some funny moments with me and I found myself relating to some of her personal story. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon. Oh, and her husband is a special effects guru. Game of Thrones? Yeah, that was him!
But most of all, Erin is so kind, has a heart for God, doesn’t sweat the small stuff and is an all-round great person. She is full of energy, is a great mom to both her son and daughter (and soon to be second daughter, whose name is to be Blaze. How cool of a name is that?!?) and is a loving wife. I just love how she owns her “own kind of beautiful”.
Being pregnant isn’t always easy but it is definitely a blessing. I’d love to hear about your pregnancy whether it is a special moment that you remember, a funny story, a craving or just something that made it special to you. Share with us please. And don’t forget to share Erin with your friends and family by clicking on the “share this post on Facebook” button.
…be your own kind of beautiful…
P.S. If you know someone who is expecting and would like to capture the moment forever, please share my information with them. I’d love to provide the service she will be thrilled with.
