Patrick & Melissa = 4

Meet Patrick and Melissa, a young couple who wanted to have children but probably never expected to get the news they’d be having twins! Instant family!  But here they are expecting their first babieS! And twin girls! They will have dad wrapped around their little fingers in no time and will have mom pulling out her hair by the time they are teens. But through it all, there will be unconditional love because these little blessings were sent from Heaven just for them. Congratulation Patrick and Melissa!
Now I know that these 2 will figure things out as they go, but I’m sure they would appreciate some encouragement nonetheless. Becoming new parents is not only exciting but terrifying as well. At least it was for me. Feel free to post some wise words for this couple or share a story of your own to encourage them as they prepare to enter parenthood. And don’t forget to congratulate them!  🙂

  • Mark and Bertie

Woohoo for two little girls coming your way and our way! Such an exciting time! Mark and I know you will make amazing parents to these little angels. All we can say is that you can prepare as best you can by reading and talking to people who have experienced parenthood, but much of the learning happens on-the-go. You will be so surprised at how far instinct can take you. Your hearts and bodies will guide you. The important thing is to support each other and ask for help, to be kind to yourselves, and to let time do its thing. Your girls will be learning about you and the world at the same time as you will be learning about them. You will get tired, you will feel confused and overwhelmed, but you will be rewarded with connections to last a lifetime and memories forever etched in your spirits. We will be there for you for everything you need, and more. Congratulations to all four of you: to Mel and Pat for being blessed with two precious little ladies and to your girls being blessed with two loving people as parents. Love, Mark and Bertie and Penelope
P.S. Penelope is so excited to be big cousin to two other Miss Sunshines.ReplyCancel

  • J Mayhew Melissa Grandmother (G)

My special dear ones.  If you could only know the depth of my joy when I heard the news that I would be a great Grandmother.   I never thought I would be here but the LORD knew and HE has given me this deep joy.  As I have prayed daily for you  it will be a joy to pray now for the 4 of you.  There are going to be days when you are wondering what next but also the days of such joy.  And in each case know for assurance that you can look up.  As Grandpa would say to you keep looking up.  So Patrick and Mel. This joy is so very precious to me. And I just give all thanks to the LORD .  My Love and Prayers for you   G  xoxoReplyCancel

Erin

When I first saw Erin it was difficult not to notice her gorgeous mane of red curly hair.  I remember thinking to myself, I don’t know that woman, but I NEED to photograph her!  And here we are.  This beautiful mom to be (…again. This is her 3rd. I know right, it’s unfair that someone should look this amazing after having 2 other babies with a 3rd on the way!) Can I just mention that this mom to be is due on Christmas day.  What a blessing that is!  Now do the math.  She is 3 and a half weeks away from giving birth!  3 1/2 weeks!  I did not look this good when I was more than 8 months preggo! Life is just so unfair… 😉

During the time I spent with Erin doing her shoot we had a few hours to chat so I got to know her a little.  I already knew she was sweet, easy-going and dedicated to whatever she does but I got to know a little about where she came from.  She amazes me.  She’s originally from Australia, so right there, her accent demands attention.  I don’t always know what she’s saying because her lingo is different than ours but I usually get the drift of the conversation.  I had to learn what nappies and thongs were (diapers and flip flops, yeah, not undies), learned about a town in New Zealand called Whakapapa where the “Wh” is pronounced like an “F”.  You say it out loud and then giggle.  I did. A lot! I learned that she has lived in Scotland, a place I need to visit before I die, so was a little jealous of that tidbit of info.  She has a masters degree in psychology and is a certified personal trainer/pilates instructor. She shared some funny moments with me and I found myself relating to some of her personal story. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon.  Oh, and her husband is a special effects guru.  Game of Thrones?  Yeah, that was him!

But most of all, Erin is so kind, has a heart for God, doesn’t sweat the small stuff and is an all-round great person.  She is full of energy, is a great mom to both her son and daughter (and soon to be second daughter, whose name is to be Blaze.  How cool of a name is that?!?) and is a loving wife.  I just love how she owns her “own kind of beautiful”.

Being pregnant isn’t always easy but it is definitely a blessing.  I’d love to hear about your pregnancy whether it is a special moment that you remember, a funny story, a craving or just something that made it special to you.  Share with us please.  And don’t forget to share Erin with your friends and family by clicking on the “share this post on Facebook” button.

…be your own kind of beautiful…

XOXO  Wendy

P.S. If you know someone who is expecting and would like to capture the moment forever, please share my information with them.  I’d love to provide the service she will be thrilled with.

Alana & Mike

Alana is one of the sweetest girls I know.  She is not only a beautiful woman, she is so positive and is quick to encourage and lift you up with kind words.  Mike is a lucky guy and little “C”, who is such a happy boy is in loving hands.  Their little daughter who is due to make an appearance soon will be spoiled I’m sure!

How do you spoil your children?  And I don’t mean the material things.  Do you snuggle with them on a Saturday morning?  Do you play with them even when you don’t feel like it?  Do you stop what you’re doing just to give them a hug and kiss?  I’d love to hear from you!

As always, be your own kind of beautiful!

Wendy

Naomi & Joel

This couple may be starting their lives together at a young age but I have rarely seen 2 people love each other so much.  They are so incredibly sweet to each other and you can see the love in their eyes and how they look and treat each other.  It’s a great reminder that this kind of love should be lived no matter what age or how long you’ve been married.

They were such a treat to photograph and their reaction to seeing their photos for the first time was priceless.  When tears of joy are spilled, I know I have done well.  And it encourages me to continue to do what I love.

What are some of the things your other half did for you to show you love during your own pregnancy?  I’d love to hear from you!

As always, be your own kind of beautiful!

Wendy
